So that took all of about two weeks for John Ferguson Jr. to find another job. TSN as added the former Maple Leaf General Manager to their panel for NHL on TSN, and TradeCenter 08.
Great, as if having Mike Milbury on the panel wasn’t bad enough, now there are two GMs with a history of making terrible trades. I cannot wait to hear what they have to say about the deadline trades, and what they would consider a good trade and a bad one. Furthermore, I can’t wait to see and hear what JFJ makes of Fletcher disassembling the mess that JFJ managed to produce in Leafland.
“I made many trades over 10 deadlines in management with St. Louis and Toronto,” Ferguson says. “I look forward to plying a new trade with TSN this deadline.”
Thats hilarious! Woot, you brought in Perreault last year, only to have him sit in the rafters. You’re a joke Ferguson. I really could have went a few years without having to see this guy again, or if I did have to, I would like him to go a division rival or something. See him screw over some other team.
I can’t be the only person that finds it weird that once he left St. Louis, it took them a few seasons but they got back to being respectable. Then he came to Toronto and now they are going to have to take a few seasons to get back on track as well.
Besides, you would think TSN would have learned to stop hiring former Leafs to their panel. Tie Domi worked out like a charm. And last time I checked, Glen Healy isn’t exactly the most popular hockey analyst out their right now.
Man, I really dislike JFJ, guess I’ll be watching The Score’s coverage of the Trade Deadline this year.
