The NHL handed down two suspensions so far today and had another hearing last night in order to figure out what actions to take with Chicago’s Wisniewski.
First up, Andrew Peters of the Buffalo Sabres has been suspended for 1 game for an altercation that happened at the end of the 3rd period. Peters, who was on the bench at the time jabbed Colton Orr after Orr delivered a clean hit on Spacek. Peters was kicked out due to the incident. There was also a semi-bench brawl that occurred because of the incident Here is a video of it, along with a fight between the two that occurred in the first period.
Secondly, Steve Ott has been suspended for 3 games following a hit to head of Jordan Leopold. It was a dirty hit, deserves suspension for sure, as Ott literally jumped into the head of Leopold and slammed it against the glass. Here is the video of it. It happens quickly right at the beginning and is followed by the fight. Keep watching it because they replay it.
I currently have not tracked down a video of the incident involving Wisniewski cross-checking Samuelsson in the face, but I will look for it, and upload it as soon as I find it.
