By Jimmy

Hockey Talkie was a blog that originally began as an assignment in a Sociology of Cyberspace class. The idea was that the students would be put into cyberspace, and for lack of a better word, forced to participate. By the end of the semester I found that I really enjoyed it, and decided I would continue the site.

So Hockey Talkie is a place that I can talk about hockey basically. So that I can talk about it whenever I want, about whatever I want, and the viewers (read you) might actually care about what I am saying. Instead of trying to talk to people that have either no interest, or no idea what the hell I am talking about.

If you want to know about me, well I am a New Media student at the University of Lethbridge in Alberta, Canada with plans to attend broadcasting school once I get my B.A. here. I’ve been tangled up in hockey in some way or another for pretty much my entire life, whether that be as a player, referee, or a fan.
