Avery Adds to his Douche-bag Resume

I’ve made no secrete of the fact that I hate Sean Avery, and the fact that I think he is a complete douche. He proved it once again tonight, when he was waving his arms and stick in front of Martin Brodeur’s face.

I have to say, that I get what Avery was trying to do. He was trying to distract Brodeur, and get him off his game. It’s just the way he was doing it, Avery wasn’t even paying attention to the play, he had his back turned to it while standing one foot away from Brodeur. Check it out for yourself…

Now, there is no penalty against this, not a concrete penalty at least, but Avery was warned by the referee while he was doing yet he still continued. However, I have to agree with Ron MacLean when he was talking about it. Under the rules of a misconduct penalty, if a player does an action in an attempt to incite the other team into taking a penalty, and continues after being warned from the referee, the player can be called for a 10 minute misconduct. Under this rule, there would be no minor, so the Rangers wouldn’t have been short-handed.

I do believe that the NHL is going to address this issue Monday. While I don’t know what they are going to say or what kind of action they are going to take. The NHL should send out a memo of some kind, either to say that these actions are allowed, or that they cannot be tolerated or something, but they have to do something.

Now before I stop, I should add this kind of disclaimer, I this isn’t a knock on Avery’s abilities. He has 3 goals already this post-season, and the Rangers are without a doubt a better team when he is on the ice. I simply hate these kinds of actions and on-ice shenanigans that Avery always seems to be a part of.

What’s Pissin’ Me Off Today (03-31-08)

I had to do a little digging and head scratching for these ones today, but once something ticked me off, it sort of snowballed one me, so here goes!

Sean Avery

Ok, I didn’t have to do a lot of digging for this one. This guy pisses me off pretty much everytime he is mentioned… this may be due to the fact that I believe this pathetic asshat shouldn’t deserve to be any sort of news item but whatever.

The latest is that his name and number where found in the black book of the New York man-looking escort (read hooker). Apparently though, Avery’s name was in the “cheap” section of the clientèle at the Maison de L’Amour. Not surprising considering this douche is consistently going down the ladder when it comes to girls… he was at one time dating Canadian Super Beauty, and avid hockey fan Elisha Cuthbert, then stepped down to one of the Olsen twins, and well now this:

P.S. Avery is denying it, saying its an April Fool’s Joke. Original, you dumbass. I would be denying too, though…

Ouch, I hurt my Upper Body

Yes, its that time of year folks. Someone will get high sticked in the face, and be bleeding from the eyes and lose 10 teeth while laying on the ice in pain, but the report will come out the next day as an upper body injury.

I effin’ hate this crap. It’s just garbage. I don’t know what else to really say about it, other then its a royal pain in the lower body.

Update On Pronger and other Stuff

Douchebag Chris Pronger has been suspended 8 games by the NHL for his stomping on Kesler. In my mind, thats not enough, it doesn’t even take him out for the remainder of the season. It is not a big surprise however. As I mentioned in my last post, Pronger recieves a special treatment, considering he has been suspended 8 teams through-out his 14 year NHL career, 3 times in the past year. They should have taken him out for the duration of the season and play-offs. I think that would have been adequete.

Crosby is going to out for a week nursing his ankle. Apparently it is pretty sore, so they Pens are obviously wanted to save him for play-offs. If the Pens are capable of getting healthy, they have a shot at winning the East, because as of right now it seems like its pretty wide open, and available for the taking.

Sundin as of right now is listed as day-to-day with a sore groin, and it is unknown if he will play tonight. With the play-off implications the game against Buffalo has, I would bet on him playing, even if he plays 10-14 minutes, rather then he usual near 20 min. Leafs could just use him for faceoffs, because he is key for the Leafs there, and has shown it by taking more faceoffs than anyone else in the league.
